The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was started in the year 2014. CSE Department has sixteen well qualified and dedicated faculty members with excellent teaching and research skills. Among 16 faculty members, 7 members are doctorates with PhD qualification and 6 members are pursuing PhD. Our faculty members are working in wide variety of research areas such as Distributed Computing, Security, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things, Networking, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics and Software Testing. Faculty members are encouraged to carry out research activities by setting up industry linked labs and getting funded projects from Government and Private agencies. They are also encouraged to carry out industrial consultancy projects.
The CSE Department has well established laboratories with good computing facilities, software tools and applications to provide practical exposure to students. The following labs are set up in the Department in line with technology trends: Mobile and IoT laboratory, Cisco laboratory, Oracle laboratory, Cloud and Data Analytics laboratory, and SAP laboratory. We conduct Value Added Courses, Hands-on workshops and Technical Talks throughout the academic year in order to bridge the gap between the industry and the institute. Conducting the above mentioned events help the students to enhance their skill set. Our students regularly participate in Design Contests and Conferences and win prizes. The placement for CSE has been excellent with an average salary of 6.52 Lakhs per annum. Our recruiters include top companies such as Arcesium, Amazon, Accenture, CTS, Caterpillar, Citrix, HP Enterprise (R&D), IVTL Infoview, L&T, Oracle, Qualcomm, Societe Generale, TCS and Zoho. Students are encouraged and motivated to do Mini Projects, Online Courses such as NPTEL, Coursera, Udemy, Udacity and Internships which are very much helpful during campus recruitment season.

I feel lucky and blessed to have been able to be a part of PSG iTech. The entire 4-year journey has been well-planned and organized. Students were taught not only technical skills but life essentials. Various extra-curricular such as public-speaking and event organizing have been my confidence booster. The support and encouragement I received from mentors and faculties have brought me closer to my goals. The opportunities to improve technical and non-technical skills are immense. Hands-on workshops, guest lectures, individual labs for each course, clubs, and extra-curriculars kept me occupied and motivated throughout the 4-year journey.
It was my immense luck and fortune to be a part of PSG iTech where I can grow. The years spent here have been full of learning opportunities that were full of fun and frolic and sometimes with academic grind that one has to go through. As CSE major, I have had opportunities to participate in and conduct multiple tech events which has been a great help to step up in my career.I appreciate all my faculties and mentors for all their encouragement and support which has kept my morale up. Various programs and events have allowed us to interact with industrialists and entrepreneurs which in turn helped us in understanding the various options and opportunities available. It has been a turning point for some of us who didn't have a clear plan for the career.
